Original Oil Painting by Jerry Sullivan Edition of 100 — Certificate of Authenticity Included
There are fewer than 1,100 mountain gorillas left on earth.
They live in the misty rainforests of central Africa in small family groups — protective, intelligent, deeply bonded. A silverback will give his life for his family without hesitation. The infant in this painting doesn't yet know what threatens his world. But his father does.
This painting began as love. The more I learned about these magnificent animals — their gentleness, their family bonds, their desperate fight for survival — the more I needed to capture them. To make people stop. To make people feel what I feel every time I pick up a brush.
This is that painting. Brought into your home as a limited edition fine art print — one of only 100 that will ever exist. When they are gone, they are gone.
Hang it somewhere you will see it every day. Let it remind you what we are fighting for.
A portion of every purchase is donated to wildlife conservation through the World Wildlife Fund.
